Depression is such an ugly word. The NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) defines depression as "a common but serious mood disorder that causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working."
To be clinically diagnosed with depression, NIMH notes that one must have symptoms for two or more weeks. Here at depression2extinction, we don’t necessarily wish to strictly focus on the diagnosis itself. We’re choose to aim our focus towards the feelings and emotions. We’re here to let you Share Your Courage.
We are so passionate about ending the stigma behind depression and anxiety disorders because we have seen and felt it hurt many around us. It doesn’t need to hurt anyone anymore. We’re here to be authentic and vulnerable with you. We choose empathy and listening ears in the co-creation of a unified world.
